Maximum Allowable Rents Database

We of course strive to provide information that is accurate, reliable, and complete. But even with the best of intentions, some of the information changes more quickly than we can make it available through this web site, and that is especially true with individual units' rents. They may change due to a change in tenancy or the issuance of a Board decision, and there is necessarily a delay between when those changes occur and when the new rent is entered in this lookup program. The rents available here are updated nightly and were last revised on Saturday May 18, 2013.

An additional consideration: many of the rents provided here are self-reported by current or past property owners and have not been independently verified. Thus, we provide this information as a convenience only; it is not legally binding on landlords, tenants, or the Rent Control Agency.

Finally, some rental units are temporarily exempt from the Rent Control Law. Because this page is for the lookup of controlled rents, those for exempt units are not reported here; nor does this page allow for the lookup of any units' exempt status.
